Dining out doesn't have to mean skipping dessert; just make wise choices. Split a dessert with another diner, and ask to see the dessert tray so that you can assess portion sizes. Skip the whip cream and ice cream, and choose lighter desserts such as angel food cake. Here's a sampling of options:
