Choose your entree wisely when eating out. Select fish, shell fish, or lean meats such as poultry or pork. Skip pasta, pizza, casserole dishes, and cream or cheese sauces. Keep these stats in mind:
  • Prime rib, broiled (8 oz)--985calories and 77 grams of fat
  • Pork loin, broiled (8 oz)--475 calories and 22 grams of fat
  • Salmon, broiled (7 oz)--410 calories and 24 grams of fat (no saturated fat)
  • Chicken breast, large, broiled (6.5 oz)--300 calories and 7 grams of fat
  • Shrimp, cooked (10 large)--54 calories and 1 gram of fat
