Dining Fit Tip #3: Be Picky
To eat healthy while dining out, and to avoid unwanted calories, you have to be picky and specific about how you want your food prepared. Remember, you are the one that's paying for the meal, so you should get it the way that you want it. If the server is impatient with you, take it out of his or her tip!
- Skip the sauces and dressings, or at least ask for them on the side.
- Leave the cheese off also.
- Order lean cuts of meat and have them broiled or baked.
- Ask for extra vegetables rather than potatoes, rice or pasta.
