Travel Fit Exercise of the Week: One-Legged Squats

If you're tired of the same old, same old squats, try one-legged squats. This exercise will double the intensity and simultaneously challenge your balance. Better yet, no equipment is required, so you can do these in your hotel room or in the hotel fitness center.

Start by standing on your right foot, with your left leg extended behind you, left foot on top of a low table or bench (such as the coffee table in your room). Stand with your right foot forward far enough so that your calf can remain perpendicular to the ground. Slowly squat down and use your glutes to push back up. If needed, extend your arms for balance.

Repeat 20 times on each side X 3 sets. Wow!
