Travel Fit Tip: Rejuvenate Your Workout Program

Our bodies are smart, finely tuned organisms. Did you know that after as little as four weeks of performing the same activity on a regular basis, your body becomes substantially more efficient at performing that activity? Knowing that, you can see how it's easy to quickly reach a plateau in your exercise, beyond which the benefits begin to diminish.

To keep the plateau (and boredom) at bay, spice up your activities every four to six weeks with a new program, or just a variation on your current program. For example, if you've been doing push ups on your knees, try them off your toes. If you already on your toes, try switch to one foot only!

Similar, if you always do traditional crunches, switch it up with bicycle crunches.

Slave to the treadmill? Try the bike for a change!
