Travel Fit Tip: Wholesome On-the-Go Breakfast or Snack
Your mother was right. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially when you're traveling. Try this wholesome breakfast that won't leave you lurking by the candy machine at 10am.
Place some cream of wheat in a Ziploc bag, and place some chopped bits of your favorite dried fruit in another.
I recommend:

Place some cream of wheat in a Ziploc bag, and place some chopped bits of your favorite dried fruit in another.
I recommend:
- Apricots
- Cherries
- Raisins
- Dates
- When you're ready for breakfast, get a small container of skim milk and a salt packet from the airport or hotel restaurant.
- Drop a tablespoon of the dried fruit into a cup of water. This hydrates it and washes off some of the extruded sugars.
- Place three (3) tablespoons of Cream of Wheat in a bowl.
- Add one (1) cup skim milk and a dash of salt. Microwave for three (3) minutes.
- Drain the fruit and add it to the Cream of Wheat.
- Add a little more skim milk and stir.
